At AutoEntry we build innovative cloud products and services and deal with lots of data. This gives you the opportunity to work on award winning software that will be shipped regularly, is used by a large number of people, requires an implementation that scales, requires best practice security measures and must be reliable. Requires interaction with Business Analysts, Quality Assurance specialists, User Experience Designers, architects, executive team and customers, requires knowledge of front end, back end or the full stack and generally presents a diverse set of problems and ways to solve those problems.

We have a modern tech stack and use modern practices: CI/CD, automated tests, internal package management, push button deployments to all environments, separate staging environments per branch automatically provisioned, PR & code review for all changes.

We build on top of AWS which gives us the ability to iterate quickly by taking advantage of cloud services, on-demand infrastructure and the API’s to automate everything. We have a range of interesting projects requiring software developers. Projects are generally focused on delivering new features or service improvements to our products.

Engineering Team Lead

The primary purpose of the Team Lead is to manage the Software Engineers within their team, this includes managing their goals and being the technical guide for the team. They also lead on creating and building maintainable, reliable software that adheres the design specifications, in accordance with the project plan, and meets performance and quality standards. They are also responsible for system design, team estimation and building the capabilities of less experienced developers through coaching and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs line management of a team of developers including 1-2-1s and performance management
  • Drives team adherence to development processes and creation/maintenances of technical documentations and guides
  • Owns technical relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Be an active voice on the team providing ideas for feature and architecture development.
  • Investigate and estimate tasks.
  • Write testable code that will be continuously integrated and deployed.
  • Coach and provide feedback to fellow developers.
  • Improve how we do things as a team.

Requirements

  • Development team leadership experience or technical coaching and mentoring skills
  • 5 years+ experience with some of the following: C# .NET WinForms, WPF, Angular 2+, Angular.js, jQuery, Bootstrap, Javascript, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience with CI and release tools and methodologies e.g. Git, TeamCity, webpack.
  • Knowledge of basic algorithms, data structure, OOP, design patterns and elements of functional programming.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop efficient, highly optimised and clear code
  • Basic project management skills
  • Professional Proficiency in English
