AccountsPrep is best suited for clients without a ledger who do not have a cloud accounting subscription. It is not designed to replace cloud accounting software such as Sage Business Cloud Accounting.

How to get AccountsPrep

AccountsPrep is available as an add-on for all AutoEntry subscribers, regardless of which package you’re subscribed to. Getting AccountsPrep is as easy as 1-2-3:

Sign-up to AutoEntry

If you aren’t already an AutoEntry user, sign-up by clicking the Try for Free button above. You get 25 credits on us, but you’ll need an active AutoEntry subscription to add AccountsPrep.

Choose an AutoEntry subscription

AutoEntry subscriptions are built around credits, which are used when uploading documents. AccountsPrep requires its own, additional subscription and is billed alongside your monthly AutoEntry renewal.

Add AccountsPrep

Open your AutoEntry dashboard and click to view Settings. Then select to add AccountsPrep to your subscription. Your first payment will be included as part of your next AutoEntry subscription renewal.

Perfect for Self Assessment

AccountsPrep makes it easy to prepare yearly accounts in arrears for clients who don’t use a ledger.

Request bank statements for the financial year from your client (in print or PDF form), and use AutoEntry to accurately and quickly extract the data.

Add AccountsPrep as the accounting integration for that client, just like you would add any cloud accounting solution. The statement data will then flow through.

Use AccountsPrep to code, reconcile and adjust the accounts in arrears, as required. Then output a trial balance for import to your final accounts solution.

Pricing

AccountsPrep in billed in addition to your regular monthly AutoEntry subscription. Once you sign-up, your initial subscription fee will be taken as of your next AutoEntry subscription renewal.

Does AccountsPrep have a free trial?

To keep things simple, we don’t offer a free trial of AccountsPrep.

However, AccountsPrep is a monthly subscription so if after one month it's not the right solution for you, you can cancel prior to the renewal billing date

Do I pay for AccountsPrep using my AutoEntry credits?

AccountsPrep’s monthly subscription is charged outside of your AutoEntry subscription.

How many client companies can I process using AccountsPrep each month?

As many as you want! Usage of your AccountsPrep monthly subscription is unlimited.

Don’t forget that you also have unlimited client companies for no extra cost as part of your AutoEntry subscription.

Once you add AccountsPrep to your subscription, all you pay for is the data you extract within AutoEntry, and your monthly AccountsPrep subscription.

Can I use AccountsPrep without an AutoEntry subscription?

AccountsPrep is only available as an add-on for an active AutoEntry subscription, and you select it as an accounting integration for client companies within AutoEntry. AutoEntry is then required in order to extract data from scanned, photographed or emailed client bank or credit card statements.

Which AutoEntry subscriptions does AccountsPrep work with?

AccountsPrep works perfectly with all AutoEntry subscription tiers, from Bronze through to Sapphire.

I’m not an accountant. Can I use AccountsPrep?

AccountsPrep is only for accountants and bookkeepers to use to prepare accounts for certain kinds of clients who don’t use a ledger. Businesses should use a cloud accounting package, such as Sage Accounting.

How to I use AccountsPrep to prepare accounts for my client’s company?

Integrating AccountsPrep is just like integrating any other accounts package for a client, such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage. Just select the company within your AutoEntry dashboard, and then select the Integrate option in the list at the left. Then select the Connect button alongside AccountsPrep in the list.
