AutoEntry integrates seamlessly with accounting software

What is MTD
MTD is short for Making Tax Digital. This is HMRC’s plan to digitise the tax system for VAT, Income Tax Self Assessment and Corporation Tax for both businesses and individuals. The purpose of MTD is to make tax returns simpler and more efficient and will require individual and business taxpayers to have digital tax accounts with HMRC.
VAT is already under Making Tax Digital, and other taxes are being introduced as part of a phased rollout. For certain taxpayers, submissions will no longer be accepted through HMRC’s online portal and must instead be made using MTD-compatible software.
Why making tax digital matters
With MTD expanding to more taxpayers over the next few years, switching to digital record-keeping early helps businesses avoid last-minute compliance issues, reduce errors, and stay prepared as HMRC moves more submissions away from manual filing.
How AutoEntry helps with MTD compliance
-Automatically extracts VAT amounts and transaction data from invoices, receipts, and statements
-Publishes data directly into supported cloud accounting software used for MTD submissions
-Reduces human error by minimising manual input in digital record-keeping
-Helps businesses prepare for current and upcoming MTD requirements by keeping records MTD-ready
How AccountsPrep works
Perfect for clients who don’t yet use a cloud ledger, AccountsPrep converts data captured by AutoEntry into structured, digital records that support MTD compliance.
